To keep visitors and our staff safe we are asking that people make contactless payments when buying their trail activity packs and wear a face covering during the purchase.

Follow the trail

The trail should keep the young ones entertained for around an hour leaving plenty of time to find more fun and explore the forest. 

It is important that visitors follow social distancing guidelines along the trail and keep 2m apart from other groups where possible.

Information about the trail

Beechenhurst, Speech House Road, Coleford, GL16 7EL
This trail starts at the visitor centre. Trail activity packs are available to purchase from the cafe or ranger hatch during opening times and cost just £3.50.

Accessibility
Hard forest tracks (walking into some of the areas will be forest floor) but all accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Is this trail for you?
Following feedback from our visitors, we are using a different route for this trail so it is not the same as the Gruffalo Trail. This route is a little longer and there is a short, sharp hill.
Age
This trail is aimed at families with children aged 3-9, but can be enjoyed by all.
