Join us on 18 June for a fun-packed day at our Ugly Bugs Ball!
We’ve teamed up with events company, Enter Edem to bring you a day full of insect festivities, ahead of National Insect Week. Meet the beautiful insect characters as they interact with our visitors, whilst little ones can ask them questions and you can capture the perfect photo.
Find out which circus skills you’re good at, master something new with guidance from the circus master! Join in with bug races, party games and quizzes, check out giant bubbles and then relax and watch the amazing ‘Ugly Bug Wingding’ show.
The Ugly Bugs Wingding show is an entrancing short puppetry show for all the family, with a beautiful puppet theatre unfolding as musical big Ugly Bugs tell a tale inspired by the fantastical book the Butterflies Ball and Grasshoppers feast.
Show times are 10.45, 12.45 and 2.45pm and last around 30 minutes.
All activities will take place around the hub area outside the café and are suitable for wheelchair and pushchair users. Plenty of grassy seating is available but do feel free to bring a picnic blanket to sit on.
Our café will be open and selling plenty of delicious holt and cold food options.
Thinking of doing the Superworm trail while you’re here? Pop into the Activity Centre to purchase a Superworm Activity pack and get a FREE Superworm book (while stocks last, only on 18 June).
