Gruffalo Fun Day at Cardinham Woods

To celebrate our new Gruffalo sculptures at Cardinham Woods, the Gruffalo himself will be joining us for a day of fun in the deep, dark wood on Sunday 23 October!

For your chance to meet the Gruffalo himself come along to the picnic meadow between 11.00am and 3.30pm where he will be personal appearances at regular intervals. We can’t wait to see him!

Remember to head out along the easy access Lady Vale Walk to discover our new collection of sculptures celebrating the Gruffalo and other characters from Julia Donaldson’s best-selling book, illustrated by Axel Scheffler. There will also be crafts and activities in the meadow and free forest school activities and campfire storytelling at Badger Forest School. When you’re ready to recharge, head to Woods Cafe to sample their special menu of homemade cakes and healthy light bites.

If you have any energy left, the popular Superworm Activity Trail will also be available, with activity packs available to purchase from the Ranger’s Hut for £3.50.
