This two day ceramic workshop will introduce participants to the skills of throwing and hand building functional ceramic vessels inspired by Roman pottery. You will learn how to use a potters wheel and make coil pots. You be taken on a sketchbook session taking inspiration from the forest to develop into designs where you will learn ceramic surface decoration techniques.  At the end of this weekend course you will have created and decorated 2 ceramic vessels which will be taken away to be dried and fired at Iona’s studio.

Pieces of work will be available to collect from Dalby Forest 4-8 weeks after the course.

Suitable for adults and accompanied teenagers over 16.
