Events at Sherwood Pines - Forest event Room

Spend the day learning the traditional skills of basketry as you weave your own round stake-and-strand basket. The course has been designed to guide total beginners, step by step, through each stage of the basket making process.

 

"I was looking for a special present to buy my friend for her birthday so I booked for us to come along together. It was so nice to spend time with each other and learn a new craft. My basket now has pride of place next to my log burner filled with logs and kindling." (Anna, course participant).

 

This course takes place indoors in our Forest Event room, so no need to worry about the weather. All tools and materials are provided. You will need to provide your own lunch but hot drinks will be provided. Booking and payment in advance essential.
