This 8-week Mindfulness Based Living Course runs every Wednesday evening at Whinlatter Forest 6.30-8.45 and includes a full day retreat on 6th November.
Under a cosy shelter in the middle of the forest, we follow the course syllabus with a focus on nature as a way to hold us in the present moment. Spending time in nature is proven to improve our health & wellbeing and learning mindfulness in the natural environment only enhances the benefits.
Beginning with short mindful practices and exercises, we learn about how our minds work, building our practice and understanding weekly, to include focusing on mindfulness support (such as breath & sound), kindness to ourselves and others, self awareness and openness to our human experience.
In just a couple of hours a week you can learn life tools to use at any time to help you get back on track, feel calmer and more connected with yourself and the world around you.
We can all read about the benefits of being mindful but it is only by doing that we truly learn and this course is beautifully structured to learn through your own, and others, experience.
(Please note, there is a 300m walk uphill to our forest site. The course will still go ahead in the rain.)
