Wild Wednesday pond dipping

Join our Rangers and see what lies beneath the Whinlatter pond!

It is amazing to discover the amount and variety of wild life we have in the ponds here at Whinlatter. At our pond dipping event we'll provide you with all the equipment you need to dip away and help you identify the creatures you discover.  Perhaps you'll see newts, beetles or baby dragon flies!  Pond dipping is great fun and this is a great way to experience the wonders of the ponds with the help of our friendly knowledgable Rangers. 

This event starts 10.30am and suitable for all ages, children do need to be accompanied by an adult.
