
Explore Haldon Forest Park with an off-road mobility vehicle
Visitors with permanent or temporary limited mobility can hire one of our three Trampers through the Countryside Mobility Scheme. You do not have to be registered disabled to hire a Tramper.
Trampers are off-road mobility scooters, which are easy to use and able to tackle a range of surfaces and gradients come rain or shine. Our Trampers are suitable for:
- Discovery Trail, Raptor Trail and Butterfly Trail
- Our extensive network of forest roads
- Orienteering - White, Yellow, Orange courses and Gruffalo Orienteering
- Accessing our wildlife hide and some of our sheltered viewing platforms
Hire rates
Trampers are available to hire seven days a week, 10.00am-4.00pm. Pre-booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment.
Anyone wishing to use a Tramper must be over the age of 14. If you are not already a member of Countryside Mobility, becoming one is quick and easy and will be part of your induction (£2.50 for 2 weeks, £10 for 1 year). You can then use Trampers at around 50 other beauty spots around South West England.

Travelling to Haldon Forest Park
Haldon Forest Park is best accessed by car or taxi for visitors with reduced mobility. The park is not currently served directly by a bus service. There are bus stops for local services between 1-2.5 miles away, but there are no pedestrian footpaths.
