Volunteering at Savernake Forest
What can I do?
Volunteering in your local forest is a great way to learn new skills, meet people, get active, and give back to your community.
Savernake Forest Volunteer Group
Our volunteers meet on the fourth Thursday of each month to carry out various woodland management tasks. This might include haloing beneath the ancient trees (clearing competing vegetation to maintain tree health), surveying local fauna and flora, coppicing, pond clearance, and other practical tasks.
You don’t need to attend every session to volunteer at Savernake Forest. Once registered with us, you are welcome to attend the sessions when you are available, for instance, on volunteering leave from your employer.
