Earth Photo aims to stimulate conversations about our world, its inhabitants and our treatment of both.

Earth Photo is an innovative competition and exhibition developed jointly with the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG), which reflects the organisations’ common interest in enabling a better understanding of the world around us through our complementary disciplines of the Environment and Geography.

This exhibition will display a selection of the shortlisted entries, allowing visitors to view the stunning images in the beautiful surroundings of the National Pinetum.

Learn how to capture the magic of the trees and landscapes in the National Pinetum guided by highly experienced local photographer David Jenner. 

A Cacao Ceremony to honour the Autumn Equinox, known as Mabon in the Celtic Wheel of the Year.

Using the beautiful plant medicine of cacao we will focus on the balance of light and dark as we prepare for wintering, harnessing the feminine energy of Mother Earth’s life force to ground and nurture us.

Through meditation, drumming and ritual we celebrate all we have created and prepare ourselves for the changes in the Earth’s energy for the coming months.

This trail around Pexton Moor has outstanding views of the riggs and dales of Dalby and Ellerburn along a route that takes in a range of woodland habitats.

The route follows a mixture of earth tracks, forest road and compacted gravel path. It may be slippery in wet weather.

This is a day workshop spent at this fabulous location developing your skills both in camera technique and understanding of digital technology.

Can I get photo images of locations from all Forestry England areas?

Our photography of all locations is available to the public on request. Please contact the relevant person for the area you wish to film in.

Are forest locations available to use for filming all year round?

If you venture into the deep dark wood you may bump into the Gruffalo from Julia Donaldson's fantastic story.

A Fire & Cacao Ceremony to honour Samhain (Halloween) the Celtic New Year.

At this time when the veil between worlds is at its thinnest, we work with the beautiful plant medicine of cacao. Through meditation, drumming and ritual we focus on death & rebirth, honouring our ancestors, whilst harnessing the feminine energy of Mother Earth’s life force to ground and nurture us.
