Vinyasa Yoga in the Forest.

Time to reconnect to nature with a strong Vinyasa yoga flow in the forest. Vinyasa yoga is a more fluid style of yoga that flows between different poses.

20 places are available per session.

Participants are led through a flowing sequence of movements and the instructor will help you focus on your breath and movement to build strength, improve balance and calm the mind. Each class will take inspiration from nature.

Set outside in the unique and peaceful National Pinetum, Lisa's friendly yoga class works to improve your overall wellbeing, develop your flexibility and strength, and reduce stress.

Come along to a Serenity Yoga Walk to release, relax and restore. If you have never done yoga before, if you love walking, if you are a avid yogi or if you just need to relax this could be the class for you.

Serenity Yoga Walks see participants meeting at the info point at High Lodge and exploring up to a 2 mile walk from here. With yoga poses, meditation and relaxation along the way.

From guided yoga adventures for students, to downloadable autumn activities - we've got you covered as you prepare for the second half of term at school.

Fitness and wellbeing activities

Join us for a low impact, lower intensity class - ideal for anyone wanting to improve strength, mobility, flexibility, and of course mental wellbeing. Buggies and walking poles welcomed!

We will move at a walk or gentle jog, and perform simple exercises, while enjoying the peace and nature of the forest surroundings. Each session will last for 30-40 minutes.

Discover ideas and activities to help with your wellbeing and keep us connected during this time. 

For generations, the trees of Westonbirt Arboretum have been a source of inspiration for artists, poets, architects, performers and many creative visionaries. Use these resources to build up your own spring diary full of your own artistic creations. Write a poem, draw a picture, create music or take up a yoga pose!

Become mindful in nature 

Join an hour long weekly guided walk led by our qualified mindfulness and yoga coach, Lisa Whitehouse.

Enjoy an opportunity to experience mindfulness whilst enjoying the sights and sounds of the pinetum in a gentle accessible way. 

With Lisa's guidance, learn how to incorporate mindful walking into your daily life by using all of your senses — sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch to bring awareness to your body and surroundings.

When you think about sport, exercise and physical activity what springs to mind? Gyms, Lycra, sweating, red faces, hard work, personal bests…? It can seem a very daunting prospect. Wouldn’t it be lovely if there was a more mindful way to get active? Well we might just have the answer. To celebrate #MindfulMonday, part of the Great British Week of Sport, we’ve teamed up with Mind, the mental health charity, to inspire you to find some mindful movement amongst the trees.

Come join us as we dance wild, barefoot and free! At Forestry England's most beautiful and ancient sites.

Our inclusive sessions start with a beautiful heart opening cacao ceremony, where we make intentions for the dance.

Sutton Manor is a 230 acre site located in St Helens next to the M62 on the former Sutton Manor Colliery. At its highest point it is over 200m above sea level.

In 2001 the former spoil heap was transformed into a community woodland and wildlife haven for the local community and visitors to enjoy. Over 2 million trees were planted!

Our nation’s forests are a fantastic for boosting our mental and physical health, and are now estimated at saving the UK a staggering £185 million a year in mental health costs.
