Learning at Wyre Forest with Step-out
Step-Out run Forest School programmes, offering children, young people and adults regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning in a woodland environment. Forest School has been delivered in the Wyre Forest for the past 20 years, during which time we have done some significant work with many young people. This has involved using the forest and the natural environment as a stimulus for learning, raising self-esteem and developing social skills.
A typical Forest School session could include shelter-building, fire-lighting, making items out of natural string, outdoor cooking, bug hunts, games, tool use, digging and modelling clay.....the list is endless!
