Volunteering activity restriction

Volunteering activities are suspended

Updated 3rd November 2020

Due to the latest government announcement regarding a new lock down period across England, volunteering with Forestry England is currently suspended.

Existing Forestry England volunteers

If you are an existing volunteer with Forestry England please do not attend your volunteer activity.  Your volunteer supervisor will contact you when your volunteer role is suitable to restart again and to find out if you are ready to come back. They will carry out a few checks to support safe management of your role and explain some of the changes we have had to make to allow volunteering to restart again. Remember, volunteering may not restartat the same time due to staff capacity or COVID-19 local restrictions.

New volunteers

We are currently not recruiting new volunteers but will continue to review this alongside Government Guidance and site capacity.  If you are interested in volunteering with us please complete an online expression of interest form which can be found on the volunteer page of the forest you are interested in. Your details will be held securely and you will be contacted when restrictions ease and a suitable volunteer opportunity becomes available.

The expression of interest form can be found on the volunteer page of the forest you are interested in. Return to our volunteer page and use the search box at the bottom of the page to find your local forest.
