Plan your visit

You may now visit in groups of up to 30 people*. Other coronavirus safety restrictions remain in place, so please follow the latest government guidance.

Below you’ll find everything you need to know on how to book, plan and safely enjoy your visit.

*Please note we are unable to accept group bookings until October 2021. To book a group visit from October onwards please email our Business Support team.

Booking your tickets

In order to visit the arboretum, you’ll need to pre-book your tickets (this also applies to Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum members).

Standard ticketing prices will apply, though if you are a Friend of Westonbirt Arboretum you won’t be charged  for your own tickets– you’ll just need to provide your membership number (this can be found on your card) when you book. If you wish to book additional tickets for other people, standard charging will apply. 

Pre-booking is available up to 7 days in advance. Last bookings 30 minutes before arrival, (subject to availability). 

When you book your tickets, you’ll be asked to book a 20- minute arrival time-slot for the day of your visit. Once in the arboretum you can stay for as long you like, however be aware that the arboretum closes at 5pm.

Unfortunately if you are unable to display a valid ticket (and membership card if applicable) upon arrival, our staff will not be able to allow you onto the site as we cannot take on the door payments at this time.

Mobility scooters are available to book online. Last time slot to book a scooter is 2.20pm. Scooters must be returned by 4pm. If a scooter is essential to your visit please check availability first, book your scooter and then purchase your entry tickets.

When you arrive

Your tickets will be checked at the Welcome Building. Please show your ticket (these can be on your phone or printed) to staff at the till window of the Welcome Building. If you are a member you’ll also need to show your valid membership card.

You will then be able to enter the arboretum and you will not need to scan your tickets at the barriers.

When waiting to show your tickets, please keep 2 metres away from other visitors and staff – there are markings on the floor to help you effectively social distance.

While visiting the arboretum, please help us keep everybody safe by following social distancing rules and government guidance.
Westonbirt summer
If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, or have come into contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days, please stay at home.
Dogs are welcome on leads on The Downs and permitted off lead in Silk Wood if well behaved, stay in sight and return when called. Dogs are not permitted in the Old Arboretum.
Westonbirt restaurant
Food and drink available at the Kitchen, Pantry and Smokehouse, card only.
Westonbirt Shop
The Westonbirt Shop is open, please wear a mask inside. Card only.
STIHL Treetop Walkway at Westonbirt Arboretum
The Walkway is open with a one way system, features such as the crow’s nest are closed, keep 2 metres apart. Please be aware that alternative routes out of Silk Wood are a little steep.

Toilets are open, but will be closed periodically throughout the day for cleaning. Please wear a mask inside.
Exploratree play sign
Welcome Building and Exploratree are currently closed.
Access Westonbirt
Book online. Last time slot to book is 2.20pm. Scooters must be returned by 4pm. If a scooter is essential to your visit please check availability first. You must be 16 or over to hire a scooter. Manual wheelchairs can be hired for visitors aged 15 and under.
Westonbirt Shuttle Bus
Shuttle bus service is currently unavailable.
Children on scooter
Welcome if under 70cm from floor to handle bars. Please help children maintain a 2 metre distance to other visitors.
