Do I need to pre-book tickets?

To avoid disappointment pre-booking is recommended. You can book tickets online

How will my tickets arrive?

Your tickets will arrive in the form of an email with a PDF ticket attachment. To help save on paper there's no need to print the PDF attachment if you can show us the downloaded E-ticket on your phone on arrival. Remember signal in the forest can be patchy so downloading before arrival is advised.

Can I book at the last minute, and at the arboretum if I turn up on day?

Subject to availability, tickets will be available to book online up to 23.59pm the day before or in person on the day of the event.

Can my tickets be changed?

Unfortunately, tickets are not interchangeable.

I can’t print my tickets – what should I do?

We're encouraging our visitors not to print their tickets unless they don't have a phone to show their downloaded E-ticket on.

I can't find my tickets - what should I do?

If you purchased your tickets directly through Forestry England, you can also re-send your E-Tickets by email by logging into your online account here. For any other ticketing questions contact our customer relations team by emailing customerrelations@forestryengland.uk. Once e-tickets have been resent, any previously issued tickets are not valid, so it is vital you use the latest set of tickets or the entry scanners will not permit you access.

Is there a policy for Personal Assistants?

In line with our admission policy, an essential personal assistant has free entry. Please give our Customer Relations team a call on 03000 680 400 (Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm) so they can book all elements of festival for you and your group members.

Is admission to the arboretum an additional cost along with the event workshops?

Yes. When you choose the day you are coming on the website, you’ll get the option to add your admission tickets, then the next screen will list all the bookable events scheduled for that day. You can add the tickets you require before proceeding to checkout. Tickets need to be purchased for each adult and each child.

Does an adult have to attend an event with a child?

Children under the age of 12 will need an adult with them, unless otherwise stated. Please purchase 2 event tickets if accompanying a child.

Is there a member’s discount?

Admission to the arboretum is free for members, admission to the festival events need to be booked and purchased in addition. The Friends provide a range of incredible membership benefits as a thank-you for your support of Westonbirt Arboretum, which can be found here.

Are there any concessions?

Aside from free day admission for children each event is priced the same for every person attending.

Do I need to pay separately for each adult and child?

Yes. Adults and children pay the same event ticket prices.

Children aged 0-2 years are free to attend but are required to sit on parent/guardians lap during events.

Are there any free activities taking place as part of the festival event?

Along with the bookable sessions we are planning to provide some free activities each day. We are currently awaiting confirmation of the details on these.

What happens if I cannot attend?

Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable and not interchangeable. We strongly recommend that you purchase the refund protection available when booking in case you are unable to attend.

Is it wheelchair/pushchair friendly?

The layout of the event festival mainly uses hard paths. It is accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs but can get muddy!

Can we book a wheelchair/mobility scooter?

We do have free wheelchair/mobility scooters available, but they are in demand, and we have limited stock so early booking is recommended. These can be booked by contacting our Customer Relations team a call on 03000 680 400 (Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm).

Are dogs allowed into the event? 

Dogs are not permitted in the event marquees. Assistance dogs are the exception and are welcome across the site. 

What is the start/end time of Wild Wonder at Westonbirt?

Each event day starts at 9am and finishes at 5pm.

When you book tickets, you will be asked to choose an event date and time. Please be sure to arrive at each festival event promptly at your chosen entrance time. If you wish to arrive early and get something to eat at our onsite café or restaurant before your visit you may do so.

How long does each event last? 

40mins – 1.5 hours. Check event webpage for each event time.

Are the workshops and activities being held indoors or outside?

All the paid for festival events will be under cover in marquees, gazebos, or buildings.

What happens if it is raining? 

Unless the rain presents a safety issue, Wild Wonder at Westonbirt will go ahead as normal. We recommend you bring appropriate clothing and footwear for the outdoors and the weather.
If the rain or any extreme weather conditions present a safety issue, notification of cancellation will be made on Forestry England/Westonbirt, Facebook and Twitter. Please see your ticket terms and conditions for the refund policy.

What should I wear?

Wild Wonder at Westonbirt is an outdoor event, with gazebos and marquees provided as shelter for the main events taking place. We recommend comfortable footwear and outerwear dependent on the weather conditions.

How far will I need to walk?

There is a short distance walk from the Welcome Building to the festival gazebos and marquees. A few events are in the Community Shelter in Silk Wood. It is approx. 10 – 15 minute walk.

Will it be busy?

Numbers of people attending is likely to vary for each festival event. There may be some queues as you enter the arboretum and in the food and drink areas. 

Do we pay for parking?

No, parking is included within the ticket price. Once you are parked on the hard standing area please proceed through the Welcome Building.
