Opening hours
The car park and trails are open 6:00am to 9:00pm daily. The dog wash is open daily and accepts payment by card.
Woods Cafe is open every day. Please check the cafe website for opening hours.
The Ranger's Hut is open Sunday - Thursday for information, mobility hire, and activity pack sales:

There are cycle racks on the grass in front of the visitor toilets.

From Bodmin take the A38 towards Liskeard. 400 metres beyond the Carminnow Cross roundabout follow the brown tourist signs left and then left again into Cardinham Woods.
Our access road is singletrack with passing places. Please be prepared to give way to other drivers and give walkers and horse riders plenty of space.
By Public Transport
Cardinham Woods isn't directly served by public transport. Go Cornwall bus 11 stops at the Turfdown Roundabout outside the Glyn Valley Crematorium. Cardinham Woods is a 1 mile/25 minute walk on the highway. There is no footpath.

Parking and prices
The money you pay to park helps us care for the forest and its facilities.
You can pay by card or contactless at the machines in the car park or using the RingGo app. We recommend downloading the app to your phone before you visit. We are unable to accept cash payment for parking.
Cardinham Woods members park for free. Buy your Membership now for £43 to simply park and go while supporting your favourite forest.
Our access road is narrow in places. Please be considerate of other drivers and give walkers and horse riders plenty of space. Please do not park on the access road as it causes a dangerous obstruction to other road users and emergency vehicles.

Cardinham Woods doesn't have designated quiet times but it is usually less busy on weekdays. If visiting at the weekend or on a bank holiday, the forest is usually less busy before 10:00am and after 4:00pm.
