Staffordshire Tourism and Good Food ‘Team of the Year’ award
We are excited to announce that the Cannock Chase Forest Recreation Team has won the ‘Team of the Year’ award at the Staffordshire Tourism and Good Food Awards.
The award was presented at a ceremony which took place at the National Memorial Arboretum. It recognises a group of people working together for the same tourism business, who collaborate effectively to provide outstanding customer experiences and deliver excellence across their business.
We were able to successfully meet the award criteria, including the ability to demonstrate:
- commitment, passion and enthusiasm.
- going above and beyond.
It has been a busy few years for the Cannock Chase Forest team – as well as running a hugely popular forest centre and managing ongoing large timber harvesting activity, we have also:
- hosted a Commonwealth Games event.
- created the first Pedal and Play facility.
- hosted Forest Live concerts.
- had a significant car park redevelopment and a new ANPR system installed.
- made great strides forward in engaging with our visitors including encouraging them to play their part in protecting the Cannock Chase’s special area of conservation.
It is really lovely that our hard work has been recognised in this award.
