Forest adventures with furry friends

We love welcoming dogs to the nation’s forests and have all sorts of activities and facilities to give you and your dog the best day out together.

They’re the perfect places to bond with your four-legged friend as you share the joy and beauty of the forest.

Explore our dog-friendly walking routes in the forest or grab a hot drink in one of our cafes after a relaxing stroll, where your dog will be most welcome.

Have a great visit with your dog

  • scoop the poop - bring poo bags and take the poop back home to keep our forests clean and safe.
  • take care around water - many of our forests have rivers and ponds.
  • respect wildlife - notices on site will let you know what to be careful of, like our ground nesting birds.

Keeping you, your dog and our forests safe is all part of being a great doggy visitor. Follow the forest dog code to keep you and your happy hound on track.
