5km running route at Cannock Chase

The 5km route follows the Fairoak trail past the Fairoak pools and continues on the uphill Sherbrook Trail.

There's a short but testing incline before getting into the wider forest with more challenging terrain underfoot, including loose stone, mud and puddles.

This route takes in views of heathland habitats important for nightjars and woodlarks.
