Events at Drinkwater Park - Philips Park Barn, Prestwich, Manchester M45 7QJ, with a 10 am arrival time. You can park your car at the Philips Car Park and walk down to the Barn. If arriving by car, use Park Lane, Whitefield. For public transport, use X41, X43, Metrolink

Join your community and help us to improve Waterdale Meadow (near Drinkwater). We have three days of woodland management activities planned for the winter months: January 26th, February 23rd, and March 22nd.

 

You will learn about the traditional woodland technique of coppicing and help improve footpaths and habitats while gaining valuable woodland management skills.

The events are open to everyone, and run from 10:00 to 15:00. No prior experience is necessary, as guidance and tools will be provided. We have tea, coffee, and biscuits, but please bring a packed lunch with you. Dress warmly in clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, and wear sturdy footwear. Waterproof garments are recommended.
