Woodland Management Volunteer Days at Byrom Wood

Join your community and help Forestry England to improve Byrom Wood for people and wildlife. We will have three days of woodland management activities planned for the upcoming winter months. Byrom Hall Wood is near the Wigan Flashes Nature Reserve and Viridor Wood.

Meeting point; Byrom Hall Wood, Lowton, WA3 1BP. Limited parking is available at the gate, so we recommend parking on Slag Ln. The event is open to everyone, from 10am to 3pm. No experience is necessary; guidance and tools will be provided.

We will supply tea, coffee, and biscuits, but please bring a packed lunch with you. Wear warm clothing that you don't mind getting dirty and suitable outdoor footwear. Waterproof clothing is recommended.

Please note that while you won't receive a confirmation upon booking, you'll get all the event details a couple of days before the chosen date.
