What can I do?

Make new friends, help a great cause and work in the amazing surroundings of the National Pinetum and Forest… all great reasons for volunteering at Bedgebury.

Opportunities to volunteer vary from assisting with events to practical work in the pinetum; the following key groups are currently open to new volunteers:

Our team of Visitor Experience Volunteers play a key part in providing a warm welcome and giving our visitors all the information they need for a memorable visit. If you love meeting new people this is the role for you.

Tree team volunteers undertake practical tasks in the pinetum – these include weeding, re-caging and mulching specimens in the tree collection.  If you enjoy physical activity, spending time outside and working in a team then you’ll fit right in.

Your time as a volunteer is much appreciated by the Forestry Commission and is rewarded with Thank You events, training opportunities and a parking pass after 35 hours of volunteering.
