


Just down the road from the main visitor centre entrance is Whitefield. We know lots of local people enjoy this part of the wood for activities like horse riding and walking. As part of the planning conditions attached to the Forest Holidays development, they have provided funding so that we could enhance Whitefield’s offerings so that as well as walking and horse riding, people can better use the woodland for exercise and fitness, play and to generally get more of the wellbeing benefits of being outside in the forest.
There are two loops of trails to explore:
Both trail loops now benefit from improved trail surfacing, benches and picnic tables.
