Centenary Open Day at Bedgebury
Event details
Join us for a fun-filled day out celebrating 100 years of Bedgebury National Pinetum!
Ever wondered what it takes to care for some of the world’s rarest and most endangered trees? Our Centenary Open Day is the perfect opportunity to discover the fascinating world of tree conservation and enjoy everything the National Pinetum has to offer.
What to expect
Pick up your Pinetum Passport (available 10am to 4pm) and explore five exciting activity stations across the site:
- Grow the future - plant a seed and take it home to grow.
- Label a tree - see how labels are made, learn to read them, and help tag a tree!
- Be a tree scientist - measure some of our tallest trees and discover fun facts.
- Tree team skills - watch pinetum craftsmanship in action and find out what it takes to look after a tree zoo.
- Big machines & forest fashion - hop on a tractor or mower and try on real forestry gear. Perfect for a photo!
Complete all five passport stops and earn a free day pass for your family or gift it to a friend for a fun day out together.
What else is on? Paint a pine cone, tree or wildflower with the Bedgebury National Pinetum Florilegium Society, drop in for a fitness and wellbeing taster and complete our big birthday summer family activity.
