Free event: register for on Thursday 06 June, Wednesday 12 June, Friday 21 June, Wednesday 26 June

Are you a regular to Dimmingsdale and our woodlands in the Churnet Valley, North Staffordshire, or have you wanted to get involved in our volunteering opportunities and haven't had the chance?

On select dates across June, we're hosting community Himalayan Balsam pulls! We need as many wonderful volunteers as we can to help us remove this invasive species from areas of beautiful ancient woodland and key habitats across Dimmingsdale to help make space for native species including bluebells, wood anemones, wild garlic. Himalayan Balsam is an invasive species that grows much faster than our native plant species and can out-compete these important species in areas they once thrived. No experience necessary, just a willingness to help keep this wonderful valley special. PPE & refreshments will be provided by Forestry England.
