Sherwood Bushcraft health and wellbeing

Health and wellbeing

We work closely with charities and community groups to deliver bushcraft sessions to help improve mental health and wellbeing and help participants to overcome barriers that have a negative impact on their lives.

Evidence shows that spending time outdoors in green spaces can help to reduce depression and anxiety, improve mood and reduce the need for medication.

Many of our participants have low self-esteem and find that attending our sessions increases their confidence which can lead to training and future employment opportunities.

You can choose from a range of activities to suit the needs of your group, but a typical day would include firelighting, shelter building, green woodworking and pizza making in our woodfired oven.
