Come discover how the sunshine helps make herbal medicine! Drop-in throughout the day to join one of the 30 minutes hands-on, sensory-rich activity sessions, run by Medical Herbalist Claire Goulding, families will explore aromatic herbs and essential oils to create their very own sun-infused magical oil to take home.
Make Your Own Magical Oil Potion
Use fresh and dried herbs to begin your own solar-infused aromatherapy oil. Children will fill a small jar with chosen herbs, top it up with oil, and take it home to leave on a sunny windowsill to infuse for two weeks.
Learn About Aromatic Plants & Oils
Big colourful flashcards bring the plants to life with fun facts, magical qualities, and traditional healing uses. Discover the power of sunshine in making natural medicine.
“Who Am I?” Essential Oil Game
Use your nose to guess the mystery plant! Smell a variety of essential oils with clue cards and an optional blindfold for a fun sensory challenge.
We’ll also be making elderflower and milk bath sachets and a hand balm to take home.
