Wych Lodge boasts some of Somerset’s most stunning ancient oak trees, soothing lakeside views and an extensive network of woodland tracks for you to explore. Cyclists and horse riders are welcome to roam the forest roads and public rights of way.

There is also a hidden Iron Age hillfort within the boundary of the forest. Please note: the lake is managed and operated by Taunton Angling Association and swimming is not permitted.

Things to do

Enjoy a tasty treat in the forest, just bring along good food and company!

Walking is the perfect way to get some fresh air and explore some of the area's most beautiful landscapes.

Forest tracks are mostly hard standing but some areas become muddy in wet weather and may not be suitable for wheelchair and pushchair users.
