Join us at High Lodge on 30 March to enjoy a fun day out and discover the range of activities we offer to help you plan your perfect class trip to the forest.
What to expect
A relaxed environment where you can chat to us, find out what is on offer, get to know the site and try out some activities.
Choose a 10.00am-12.00pm or 1.00pm-3.00pm session when booking. At your chosen time, come and see us in Oak Lodge, which is next to the main green, so you can park in the usual car parks.
When you arrive at Oak Lodge, refreshments will be available (please bring your own reusable cup/water bottle if you have one) and we will give you your discount code for two hours free parking.
- Discover the resources available to hire and activities on offer for pupils. We’ll have our Ranger in a Bag and Gruffalo orienteering out for you to explore.
- Find out about planning a self-led visit to High Lodge with our free lesson plans and downloadable resources.
- Have a go at some of the activities available to your students, including Ranger in a bag, disc golf, Room on a Broom trail, archery (morning session only) and adventure golf (discounted price).
- Chat with Go Ape about their school offer and tree top adventures.
- Take a map of the site and check out the areas we’ve highlighted as the perfect places to take your group.

I’m not a teacher, can I come?
The event is aimed at anyone who is looking for inspiration for a school trip to the forest. You might be an early years educator, teaching assistant or school governor.
How do I book?
Click the link in the green box opposite. This will take you to a form to fill out to complete your booking. The event is free but booking is essential.
Can I arrive earlier or stay later than my booked session?
Yes! Please do. We would love you to enjoy a day out in the forest with your family or friends. Explore our forest trails, take some time out in nature and enjoy our play areas. At the time of your booked session come and see us in Oak Lodge.
How do I claim my free parking?
You will get 2hrs free parking for one car. When you attend your booked session we will give you a discount code. Any additional time over 2hrs will be charged at our usual rate.
Can I bring anyone with me?
You get 2hrs free parking for one car so please feel free to bring family or friends with you. Children (and adults) in your group are welcome to try out our activities.
