Did you know it costs millions of pounds to manage the nation’s forests? Forestry England must raise enough money ourselves to continue growing and managing our forests now and for future generations. Your car parking fee supports us and the forests you love. 

We operate a ticketless and cashless parking payment system that uses number plate recognition technology.

As you arrive, the system records your number plate. At the end of your visit pay at the pay station by entering your car registration. Your number plate will be recognised as you leave and the system will know you’ve paid the right amount for your visit. There are no additional charges for camper vans or motorhomes, and no discounted parking for Blue Badge holders.

Planning on staying all day? You can pre-pay your parking at the discounted rate of £14.50 and skip the pay station queues.

Visit often? Members park for free. Buy High Lodge membership now for £83 to simply park and go while supporting your favourite forest. Or choose to buy a Forestry England national membership for £8 a month (£96 a year, annual contract applies) and enjoy visiting forests all over the country. Membership covers the whole household.

Members: This site has barriered ANPR. You do not need to display your membership car disc here, your number plate will be recognised. Please visit Manage My Membership if you need to update your vehicle registrations. Only one vehicle is permitted per visit.
