Hope Technology will be delivering a full weekend of cycle skills sessions at Rendlesham Forest as part of their Hope Academy Forestry Tour 2026.
Across the weekend, young riders aged 6 to 12 years can join structured and progressive coaching sessions designed to build confidence, control and bike‑handling skills in a safe and supportive environment.
What to expect
Each 45‑minute session gradually increases in difficulty. Riders will start with core fundamentals before progressing to more advanced techniques as their confidence grows.
From learning the basics of pedalling, braking and balance to developing the skills needed to tackle our mountain bike trails, these sessions offer something for every young rider.
Saturday 11 April

| 10am and 2pm | Basic and new peddlers | Covering the very basics of balance, braking and changing direction |
| 11am and 3pm | FUN-damentals | Covering essential mountain biking skills including cornering, braking, pumping and body position. |
| 12pm and 4pm | Drops and jumps | Once you’ve mastered the fundamentals, you'll tackle advanced skills for tackling rock gardens and tree roots. |
