Outdoor Skills Workshop – Family Session

Event details

Outdoor Skills Workshop for families

Join the team from The World Outside for a hands-on Outdoor Skills Workshop, designed for families to enjoy learning together in the woodland.

This family session introduces children and adults to the concepts of warmth, cooking, and care in outdoor environments, with a strong focus on traditional outdoor skills, safety awareness, and environmental responsibility.

Through guided discussion and preparation activities, families will explore how outdoor cooking areas are prepared, learn how heat is managed safely outdoors, and take part in a fully supervised camp-style cooking experience, including toasting bread or enjoying a marshmallow treat together.

All activities are led by an experienced Forest School practitioner and delivered with a clear emphasis on safety, supervision, care for the woodland, and respect for the natural environment.

Choose from 5 session times - each session lasts 45 minutes.

All materials are provided. Please dress in suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear that you are happy to get mucky.
