Woodland creation in Kent

A new woodland in Kent

New Luckhurst Wood is a 65-hectare woodland creation project just 12 miles from Maidstone in Kent. At Forestry England, we're leading England’s largest woodland creation programme and this new woodland will provide homes for wildlife and store carbon.

We'll carefully select tree species that suit the local soil and will thrive in today’s climate, while also being resilient to future conditions as the trees grow and mature. The woodland will include a mix of broadleaf and conifer trees and include open areas to support nature and add visual interest to the landscape.

Investment from partners like you enables us to do more for communities, wildlife and nature. With your support, we will be able to plant a greater diversity of tree species, create new habitats for priority species and establish a natural haven for generations to come.

Support us from £50,000 per year

If you are interested in supporting the creation of this new woodland, we can work with you to develop a partnership package that meets your objectives around sustainability, staff engagement, customer communications and more.

Helping you to meet Sustainable Development Goals

  • Climate action (SDG 13): Restore natural carbon sinks.
  • Life on land (SDG 15): Protect rare habitats and species.
  • Water management (SDG 6): Improve natural hydrology.
