FOD Women’s Takeover Day
Event details
Now bigger, better and bolder, the FOD Women’s Takeover Day is back for its second year at the Forest of Dean Cycle Centre!
Our first ever Takeover Day last year had an amazing turnout and overwhelmingly positive feedback from riders of all levels, so we’re doing it again. But this time, we’re taking things up a gear.
Whether you’re taking your first steps into off-road cycling or you're a seasoned shredder, this is welcoming day for women+ to ride, connect and learn with other women+ who share the same passion for riding. Grab your bike, bring your friends and get ready for an epic day of good trails, good vibes and connecting with a community that has your back.
What's happening
The FOD Women's Takeover Day is for everyone: all ages, all abilities, all bodies and all backgrounds. Expect a full programme, including:
- discounted coaching sessions (booking details coming soon)
- social rides and group-led routes
- talks from women and film showings
- hands-on maintenance workshops to boost your skills
- delicious food to keep you fuelled all day
- new additions inspired by feedback from last year's event
Be one of the first to see the full programme
Ahead of the full programme being announced, you can keep up to date with our plans by registering on Eventbrite.
The FOD Women's Takeover Day is still free to attend and unticketed, but signing up helps us plan and gets you early access to updates and announcements.
More women+ events this year
This year’s Takeover Day is the perfect build-up to the Hope Women’s Enduro, which returns to the Forest of Dean this September.
