After a decade of highly successful mountain bike events at Cannock Chase — including its global showcase at the 2022 Commonwealth Games — we’re excited to welcome top-level racing back to this iconic venue in April 2026.
Round 2 of the Lloyds National XC Series 2026 promises to be a standout edition, coinciding with the fourth anniversary of the Commonwealth Games and celebrating both elite competition and community engagement.
In partnership with Forestry England, the event will deliver a UCI Class 1 Cross-Country race on the very same course used during the Games. In a UK first, this round will also form part of the UCI Junior World Cup Series and include a U23 UCI category, offering an unprecedented opportunity for young riders to compete at the highest level on home soil.
This landmark event will honour the sport’s legacy, inspire the next generation of riders, and attract elite national and international talent to Cannock Chase.
