Join us for a celebration of our members in our Members' Week at Dalby Forest.

Members' Week will see us host a range of activities, exclusive discounts and special events. Head to the Visitor Centre throughout the week to discover all the special treats that await. Make sure to bring some proof of your membership along. Spaces for the events are limited, booking is required.

Feathered Friends Feeder Workshop

A fun 45–60 minute session designed especially for children. Budding nature enthusiasts will learn how to make their own compostable bird feeders, identify which birds use the Dalby feeding station, and enjoy some fascinating facts about British birds.

Nordic Heart & Star Decoration Workshop

Create your own Handmade Nordic Heart & Star Hanging Felt Decorations in this cosy craft workshop. Using soft felt, simple handsewn techniques, and beautiful Nordic inspired designs, you’ll make charming decorations perfect for hanging in your home all year round. This workshop is suitable for beginners. All materials provided along with tea and coffee for the duration of the workshop.

Guided 5K Run

Join us for an uplifting 5K guided run that blends movement, fresh air, and a dash of discovery. Making three stops to uncover the stories of the landscape around us - diving into local nature and heritage along the way. Dogs are welcome, as long as they’re on a short handheld lead. Come prepared with trail ready running shoes and weather appropriate clothing. There’s no age limit but do make sure you’re comfortable running 5K on uneven terrain.

Forest Wilding - Exploring Wild Newtondale

A 3–4 hour guided journey through one of the Moors’ most dramatic valleys, to see how Forestry England are helping nature to recover and thrive in the nation's forests. This approximately 8km medium-hard walk will cross steep, uneven and occasionally boggy terrain. Along the way we’ll pause to uncover the valley’s wildlife, ecology and the unfolding story of Forest Wilding in Newtondale. 

Please arrive ready for the elements with sturdy waterproof footwear, layers, waterproofs, and a packed lunch and drinks. Cameras, binoculars and ID guides are very much encouraged to help you make the most of this wild landscape. There is no age limit and dogs welcome on a short handheld lead.

Art Workshop 

Join us for a relaxing two hour chalk pastels art workshop, where our friendly volunteer Jo will guide you step by step in creating your own beautiful landscape masterpiece. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to try something new, this colourful, hands on session is the perfect way to unwind, learn new techniques, and let your creativity shine. All materials provided along with tea and coffee for the duration of the workshop.

Nature's Song - Wellbeing Workshop

Immerse yourself in Nature’s Song, a calming wellbeing workshop led by our Ranger, Taz. Using the soothing sounds of the forest, Taz will guide members through simple mindfulness techniques designed to help you slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the natural world. Hosted on our terrace with cosy blankets (if needed!) and hot drinks to keep you warm, this gentle outdoor session offers a peaceful pause in the heart of the forest.

Guided Ride hosted by Dalby Forest Cycle Hub

Build your confidence with our Guided Ride at Dalby Forest. This supportive session takes you along sections of the Green route trails and wide  forest tracks, helping you grow your skills at a relaxed pace. Perspectives - Photography Guided Walk 

Join us for this inspiring 90 minute photography guided walk, where the focus isn’t on how to use your camera, but on how to see the world differently. Whether you’re using a camera or just your phone, our fantastic volunteer Jim will lead you around the beautiful Staindale Lake, showing how a simple change in perspective can completely transform a photograph. A relaxed, creative session perfect for anyone wanting to explore new ways of capturing the outdoors.

Woodland Dream Catchers Workshop

In this 45–60 minute session, children can design and make their own beautiful dreamcatcher using colourful yarns, feathers and sticks. Our wonderful volunteer Jo assisted by team member Jemma, will be on hand to guide little makers through each step. Grown ups are welcome to stay and help enthusiastic crafters or head off for a coffee if their little ones are feeling confident. A fun, hands on activity perfect for imaginative minds.
