Volunteer Digs with Dean Trail Volunteers

Help develop and maintain trails at the Forest of Dean Cycle Centre

If you have some time on your hands and are willing to get your hands dirty, then the Dean Trail Volunteers would love to see you!

In partnership with Forestry England, this friendly trail building group carry out much of the trail maintenance here at the Cycle Centre.

You don't need any trail building experience to join them, just a 'can-do attitude'. There are some great perks for volunteers too.

Dean Trail Volunteers work on alternating Wednesdays and alternating Saturdays. There are also specific women-only digs each month too. Digs start at 9.30am and usually run until 12.30pm (depending on the project being worked on).

If you don't fancy trail building, Dean Trail Volunteers have opportunities helping out at table sales and office admin.

Established in 2009, the Dean Trail Volunteers is a volunteer-led charity maintaining and improving the Forest of Dean's official mountain bike trail network at the Forest of Dean Cycle Centre.

The Dean Trail Volunteers received the prestigious King's Award for Voluntary Service in November 2024.
