Teachers and educators, join us to discover everything Haldon Forest Park has to offer for your pupils and enjoy a day out on us! Teacher's Day is free to attend and even includes 2 hours' free parking when you pre-register.
What to expect
Choose your preferred morning (10.00am) or afternoon (12.45pm) time when booking for:
- A relaxed atmosphere to chat with us, learn about our resources, and explore the site.
- Discover hands-on activities like the Ranger in a Bag, Sensory Explorer bags, and Gruffalo Orienteering.
- Browse lesson plans and resources that can be used in your school grounds or local woodlands, including our Stick Man and Superworm education packs.
Forestry England staff will be on hand for interactive activity demos and to help you explore some of the best spots for group activities around the forest.

Yes! The event is aimed at anyone who is looking for inspiration for a school trip to the forest. You might be an early years educator, teaching assistant, or school governor.
