Horse riding at Grizedale

Horse riding at Grizedale

Whilst there are no waymarked horse riding routes, horse riders are welcome to explore our network of forest roads and bridleways.

Please note, that some of the bridleways have gates and there are locked barriers into the wood from the car park, but with space to ride around them.

No permit is needed to ride at Grizedale.

Please contact the Visitor Centre for guidance and advice on access and routes at grizedale@forestryengland.uk or 0300 067 4495. Always check the website ahead of your visit for potential closures.

For more information on our facilities, opening times and contact details, please see our visitor information.
