Due to Covid-19 restrictions, some of our participating forests are taking a little longer to get their Gruffalo Spotters trails up and running safely.

If your local forest isn't yet included, please check back again later in the year. You can also sign up to receive family activity updates straight to your inbox.

What can you expect?

Complete fun activities and learn about each animal from the book as you follow the new interactive family trail. There are also rubbings to complete and other characters to look out for as you go!

Add a Gruffalo stamp to your Children's University passport on the trail find out more.

Download the new app before you visit, so you can see the characters appear around you, and don't forget to grab a trail activity pack with Gruffalo mask and paws before you set off.

Oh help! Oh no! It's a gruffalo! Come to the deep dark wood to complete these fun activities or take part at home.
Gruffalo orienteering activity pack on the grass

Try our fun, navigational challenge at a forest near you using a simple map to find twelve Gruffalo markers hidden in the deep, dark wood as quickly as possible. Answer questions along the way and gain valuable skills in decision making and map reading.

Before you begin the trail, pick up a Gruffalo orienteering leaflet with a certificate and map for just £1.50.
