Shed Seven to bring their indie anthems to complete the line-up for Forest Live at Delamere Forest in June

Yorkshire’s finest export, rock legends Shed Seven will be crossing the Pennines and bringing a celebration of their three-decade long career to Forestry England Delamere in June. They are the final headliner to be announced for the week of shows in the Cheshire woodlands.

Having recently sold out the biggest headline show of their career in their hometown stadium (York’s LNER Stadium), Shed Seven have added this extra date in the forest as part of Forest Live on Friday 18 June alongside support acts The Lathums and The Lilacs. The band last played a Forest Live show in Thetford Forest alongside James in 2025 but this year, they head to Delamere Forest as well-deserved headliners. Tickets for the show are on sale at 10am on Friday 6 November from www.forestlive.com

Shed Seven formed in York in 1990. Fronted by the charismatic Rick Witter, alongside guitarist Paul Banks and bassist Tom Gladwin, they were a core fixture of the 1990s Britpop boom, enjoying commercial and critical acclaim with hits including ‘Chasing Rainbows’, ‘Going For Gold’, ‘Disco Down’ and the anthemic ‘On Standby’.

In 2021, the line-up was strengthened by the addition of drummer Robert ‘Maxi’ Maxfield and keyboard player Tim Wills, both of whom had previously spent 15 years playing alongside Ian Brown. Their arrival ushered in an extraordinary new chapter for the band.

Shed Seven have experienced a huge career renaissance in the 2020s, achieving their greatest commercial success more than 30 years after their debut and securing an unprecedented two UK #1 albums in 2024.

Widely regarded as one of the best live bands around, today Shed Seven play to larger, more multi-generational crowds than they ever did during their 1990s heyday. In May 2027, they will celebrate their remarkable career by headlining their biggest-ever show, a sold-out 14,500-capacity LNER Community Stadium in their hometown of York.

Looking ahead to the show, frontman Rick Witter said:

“We can’t wait to headline our first Forest Live show. They are always an amazing experience in beautiful surroundings with an electric atmosphere. We have played a few over the years, but always as bridesmaids, so it’s great that we can now feel like dizzy brides.”

Shed Seven is the final show to be added to the lineup for Forest Live’s 2027 edition in Delamere Forest. They follow previously announced Ronan Keating with Blue, Madness (with Scouting For Girls), Pete Tong Ibiza Classics and Rudimental.

Forestry England manage and care for the nation’s 1,500 woods and forests. They use the money Forest Live raises to maintain these beautiful natural areas for everyone to enjoy, run important conservation projects and keep growing trees.

Each year, they plant over 7 million trees, and welcomed 326 million visits in 2025/26. Everyone in England lives within a one-hour drive of one of the nation’s forests. Over 2.5 million people have enjoyed the Forest Live gigs over the last quarter of a century, with the concert series celebrating its 25th anniversary in the summer of 2026.

PayPal is making it easier for music lovers to secure their spot at Forest Live with exclusive presale access. Starting on Wednesday 4 November at 10am, a limited number of tickets will be available exclusively to PayPal customers for up to 48 hours.

Tickets will go on general sale at 10am on Friday 6 November and fans can sign up for information, announcements, and exclusive pre-sale access at forestlive.com.
