Green social prescribing in four forests around the country

Feel Good in the Forest is a green social prescribing programme at four of Forestry England’s forests that offers access to nature-based activities for people with mild-to-moderate health conditions and those experiencing loneliness or social isolation. Our participants find their way to us through self-referral or via a social prescribing link worker, and the results of this accessible programme speak for themselves.

Feel Good in the Forest helps people to be more active, boosts their resilience, find restation and connection with nature, and feel empowered and included.

This programme is running at Thames Chase (Essex and Greater London), Chopwell (Tyne & Wear), Guisborough (North Yorkshire), and in the National Forest (Leicestershire).

Support us from £70,000 per year

At Forestry England, our partnerships are scalable and the prices indicated here are the starting point required to get these projects running. With greater investment comes greater ambition, engagement, scale and impact for your business.

Your investment will help secure sustainable investment in England’s communities and people. By supporting Feel Good in the Forest at one of our sites, your company could help thousands of participants each year benefit from spending time in nature. For many this can be transformative, and even life changing.

You could also help us to provide training to teams of healthcare professionals to increase awareness of the power of green social prescribing to positively impact mid- and long-term health outcomes.
