Toilets

There is one accessible toilet at Dodd Wood, open 24 hours a day and located in the toilet block close to the car park entrance. 

The direction of transfer onto this toilet is to the front only. The toilet door is 750mm wide. There is 1200mm in front of the toilet. The toilet seat is 480mm high. The door is not power assisted and a key is not required.

There are four additional ladies' toilets and two mens', plus urinals.

Changing Places

There is no Changing Places facilities at Dodd Wood.

Needing help

There are no Forestry England staff based at Dodd Wood. The on-site cafe is operated by a third party.

Arriving at the forest

There is one car park at Dodd Wood.

Car parking

There are two accessible parking bays. Parking is not free and there is an ANPR pay-on-exit system in operation. Charges apply to blue badge holders. 

The ticket machine accepts card payments only. There is an option to pay online, up to 48 hours after visiting at parkwithease.co.uk 

There is one machine near the car park entrance, 50 metres from the accessible parking bays. Payment via mobile app is not available.

Visitor buildings

There is no visitor centre at Dodd Wood but there is a cafe, which is operated by a third party.

Getting out in the forest

All-terrain mobility scooters are not available to hire at Dodd Wood.

Seating and shelter

There are benches available throughout the site.

Trails and activities

The walking trails at Dodd Wood follow a mixture of forest roads and surfaced footpaths. They are steep, narrow and uneven in places. We would not recommend any of these trails for all-terrain mobility scooters or wheelchairs.
