Join our Big Forest Find event

Dates: 11 August 2019
Event time: 9:15am - 3:00pm
Location: You’ll find us in the open area close to the Buckley Lane entrance

This summer holiday discover the wildlife living in Drinkwater Park. Bring your friends and family to help us record all our wildlife observations using iNaturalist and use bug hunting equipment to look for minibeasts. Don’t worry you don’t have to be an expert we will have people available to help identify what you find.

For bookable activities and walks, visit our event page or drop in from 10:00am for bug-hunting, tree ID and bark rubbing, wild flower ID and forest crafts! We will also be joined by Manchester City of Trees, Lancashire Butterfly Conservation, Carbon Landscape, Nationwide Cycling Academy and Friends of Philips Park.

The Really Awesome Coffee Company will also be in attendance selling hot and cold food and drinks.
