Be inspired by the trees, shapes and patterns of Bedgebury and create your own nature-inspired artwork

This summer, take a closer look at the National Pinetum around you. Spot the shapes in a cone, the patterns in bark, the textures of a fern. Nature's Sketchbook invites our young visitors to explore Bedgebury with fresh eyes and turn what they find into their own piece of art.

The activity ties in gently with our Drawn to Nature exhibition, taking inspiration from the trees and textures on display without needing any drawing experience. There's no right or wrong way to sketch here. It's about looking closely and having fun with what you discover.
