“In the stillness of trees, I am home” - Wendell Berry
Since 2018, Lisa Whitehouse has been leading forest yoga and mindfulness sessions in the heart of Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest, an extraordinary landscape where nature truly feels like home.
We’re delighted to welcome a new addition to her offering: guided forest bathing walks, inspired by the restorative Japanese practice of Shinrin‑Yoku.
What to Expect
“Each session is designed for anyone who enjoys a gentle, nurturing approach to feeling happier and healthier in a natural outdoor environment. I’ll guide you through the woodland using all of our senses. Surrounded by 3,500 acres of beautiful pinetum and forest, we’ll cultivate mindfulness by noticing the small wonders of nature and its calming effect on the nervous system.” Lisa Whitehouse
These friendly 3‑hour sessions are ideal for beginners and open to everyone. No experience or special equipment is needed, simply bring your curiosity and a willingness to slow down.
Group sizes are kept small to ensure a peaceful, personal experience where you can truly connect with the landscape around you.
