Members' Week at Bedgebury

Join us this autumn as we celebrate our members during Members' Week at Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest.

From Saturday 10 October to Sunday 18 October, Members' Week will feature a range of exclusive activities, special events and member-only discounts designed to help you make the most of your membership.

Bookable activities 

Woodland Creations: Flowers and mossy cones 

Create beautiful woodland-inspired decorations using flowers, moss and natural materials. This relaxed, hands-on craft session offers the perfect opportunity to get creative and take home a unique seasonal keepsake inspired by the beauty of Bedgebury in autumn. 

Suitable for adults and children aged 3+. Parent supervision required where necessary. 

When: Saturday 10 October 2026, 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm

Woodland Mask Making 

Become part of the forest by creating your very own woodland animal mask. Choose from a range of forest-inspired templates, including foxes, owls, squirrels, and hedgehogs, then decorate your creation with colours, patterns, and natural textures. 

A fun and imaginative craft activity perfect for younger visitors and families. 

Suitable for adults and children aged 3+. Parent supervision required where necessary.

Create a Woodland Friend 

Using pine cones, acorns, wooden discs and woodland-inspired materials, create your own forest friend to take home. This fun and creative session encourages visitors to transform natural materials into unique woodland characters using a little imagination.

Beyond the Trees: An Introduction to Bedgebury Recreation 

Join Visitor Services Supervisor, Kevin, for a relaxed guided walk exploring Bedgebury from a different perspective. Moving beyond the National Pinetum, this member-exclusive experience focuses on Bedgebury as a recreation destination. Discover how the site's trails, visitor facilities, events and partnerships come together to create one of the country's most popular forest destinations. Along the way, learn more about the challenges and opportunities involved in balancing visitor enjoyment with conservation and estate management. 

Dogs are welcome to join the walk, provided they remain under control and considerate of other participants. 

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather conditions.

Mini Member Mission: Find the Golden Cone 

As a special thank you to our members, we've hidden a Golden Cone somewhere within the National Pinetum every day during Members' Week. Collect the daily clue, embark on your mission and see if you can be the one to find it. Members who successfully locate and return the Golden Cone will earn a special Members' Week exclusive prize. 

With a new location revealed each day, there are plenty of opportunities to take part throughout the week. Perfect for families, explorers and anyone who enjoys a challenge.
