Forest Through Your Eyes
Event details

Events at Dalby Forest
- Forest Arts Exhibition Space, Low Dalby Courtyard
The forest means something different to everyone — and we’d love to discover what it means to you.
Throughout the forest, we display artworks created by artists who have been inspired by what they found, saw, experienced, or learned here. We hope that our visitors are inspired in the same way.
We’re inviting members and visitors of all ages and abilities to share creative responses inspired by time spent in the forest. This might be something you noticed, something you felt, or something the forest helped you imagine.
You can submit a drawing, painting, poem, sculpture, or any other creative work inspired by your visit — the only limit is your imagination.
Selected works will be displayed in the exhibition Forest Through Your Eyes in the Forest Arts Exhibition Space from July to October 2026.
How to enter
To submit your work, please email us:
- A photo of your work
- A brief description, including its size and the materials used
- Your name and contact details
Selected works will be displayed in the exhibition space. If we’re unable to show all submissions physically, images of additional works will be displayed on a screen in the courtyard so that every contribution can still be part of the exhibition.
All entries must be received by 7 June 2026. Please email submissions to artsindalby@forestryengland.uk
All selected works must be available for delivery to Dalby Forest or Forestry England offices in Pickering between 22 and 26 June 2026. If you are submitting a 2D work (such as a drawing, painting, collage, or piece of writing), it must be ready to hang - either framed with a hanging mechanism or with a hanging mechanism attached directly to the back of the work.
