Military Orchid Open Day at Rex Graham Nature Reserve 

Discover one of the rarest wildflower spectacles in the country at this special open day, celebrating one of only a handful of sites in England where the iconic Military Orchid can be found in bloom.

What to expect

Rex Graham Nature Reserve is located on the A1101, just over half a mile from the Barton Mills Five Ways roundabout. Look for the forest road entrance marked 306 on the north side of the road or find the location on What3Words: ///volcano.increases.troll

On arrival, follow the on-site signage to the parking area, then enjoy a short 300-metre walk to the orchid site. 

Please note that the route to the site includes a steep set of steps and uneven ground. We recommend sturdy footwear, and please be prepared for uneven terrain.
