Sherwood Pines Campsite, Nottinghamshire

A much-loved family favourite in the heart of Robin Hood country, Sherwood Pines is packed with things to keep children entertained from morning till night. Little adventurers can follow the magical Room on the Broom trail, climb and explore the accessible play areas, and enjoy miles of family‑friendly walking and cycling trails that weave through the magnificent  pine forest.

Bracelands Campsite, Forest of Dean

Set in one of England’s most picturesque forests, this site offers wide-open space, stunning scenery and easy access to activities, from gentle woodland walks to family-friendly biking trails. Within minutes you’ll find the Forest of Dean Cycle Centre, Symonds Yat, Beechenhurst, Mallards Pike, Go Ape, plus local pubs and restaurants. Enjoy scenic walks into Coleford town centre, or explore the historic market town of Monmouth.

4. Rendlesham Camping, Suffolk

A peaceful retreat among towering pine trees, perfect for stargazing, wildlife spotting and enjoying a slower pace, ideal for families who want to unplug and unwind. Guests can explore Suffolk’s everchanging coast and heathlands and even visit the site of the famous 1980 UFO sighting.

The campsite offers direct access to cycling, walking and hiking trails throughout Rendlesham Forest, including the magical Room on the Broom trail, where children can follow clues, spot characters and bring the story to life among the trees. Families can also learn about the area’s rich history, including links to RAF Woodbridge during WWII, and enjoy a children’s play area and café located in Forestry England’s main car park, just a three-minute walk from the campsite.

Holmsley Campsite, New Forest

Set on part of the former Holmsley Airfield used during WWII, this unique New Forest campsite offers the chance to sleep among history. Surrounded by ancient trees, sweeping heathland, and with a brand‑new play area to keep children entertained, it’s a peaceful base where families can relax, and watch grazing New Forest ponies wander past. With the sandy beaches of Christchurch and Bournemouth close by, and miles of tracks weaving through the surrounding woodland, it’s an ideal spot for both forest adventures and coastal days out.

Camping starts from around £30 for two nights for a family of four either side of the Easter weekend.
